Traditional Printmaking

I wanted to develop my Prints further and gained a place at Camberwell College of Art, The London Institute attending the MA Fine-Art Printmaking course.

Influences range from Max Ernst, Paul Nash and Samuel Palmer. Using collage and photographic techniques to build up forms, textures and layers, I combined different print techniques like screen-print and woodcut with etching. In fact sometimes this became dauntingly complex and stifled the work. Influences moved from describing the natural cycles of death and decay and rebirth to include relevant religious and Neolithic symbolism.

‘Force of nature’, ‘Into Temptation’ and ‘Dream of Empathy’ form a triptych, that describe the natural cycles of the human state from birth to love and death.
