Pod1 was approached by Red Carnation, the luxury hotel chain to build them a new group of sites, for the business as a whole and each of the individual hotels, this meant the project was always going to be a logistical challenge.

Launched in January 2008, and for me, similiar to Aspinals of London, in that I was made responsible for the Front End Development and successful launch, thought this time there were 10 hotel websites and a group site to deal with.

Developed using the Pod1 Gutenberg CMS. There is central admin system through which all of the sub-site content is managed. Reusable templates throughout the sites, themed individually, so I wrote seperate CSS style sheets for each hotel site, but always the aim was to maintain a consistent look and feel.

Each main section is headed by a Flash movie using ActionScript to bring in the photograpghs and time the movement and transititions, I was required to understand the scripting to edit the flash documents as new headers were introduced. The Javascript framework used on early Pod1 sites was Prototype and Scriptaculous.
