Contract work 2005 - 2007

Building up Front End Development Experience

Workstation Solutions & Web Design Commissions

Started freelancing through Workstation Solutions (now sadly no longer operating) in March 2005, completing contracts at a number of prominent Design Agencies and large corporate business. Expanding my skills and experience.

Work included XHTML & CSS page building, producing online Annual Reports from printed brochures by Graphic Designers, Marketing HTML Newsletters (Design and building, and updating newsletters monthly from others designs). General web image production and website updates including experience in CMS systems.

CSS & Table-Less Page Construction

Tasked with the construction of two major table-free websites, Channel Five News and Carat.

Marketing Newsletters

Started designing and coding newsletters in 2004 for the Workthing Marketing Department, this entailed everything from concepts for the illustration to coding up the final newsletter design and testing on various operating systems. During the last two years I have worked on the L'Oreal Professional and Consumer monthly newsletters and companion microsite, and Kerastase Newsletters when freelancing at 'ThemLondon'.
I also worked on Nokia Newsletters when employed at Haygarth.
I have freelanced for Accenture Interactive Creative Department since February 2006, and projects there included designing and coding internal company Newsletters for Accenture technology departments and BP.
I have coded Newsletters in HTML transitional 4.01 and XHTML using in-line CSS styles.

Experience of 'SHTML includes' first began when at Workthing when our Design and Production department built the original PeopleBank-Workthing Corporate website in 2004. After leaving Workthing, after the company was sold, by The Guardian Media Group, I went freelance, and worked on updates to the Sheppard Day Design Agency website and Bunzl Annual Report website.

Employed at ThemLondon & Brandwidth, my role was to make changes and updates to the HTML/XHTML & CSS elements of sites which employ these coding technologies. Specific examples include TG21, Eylure, Inforad, Waxaway for ThemLondon and Rapid Heat Busters website for Brandwidth.

Adobe & Macromedia Toolset

Experienced using Microsoft Windows XP and Apple Macintosh Operating Systems, including all the major Adobe and Macromedia design software packages for web design and print. I have been using Photoshop and Illustrator since 1994 for Web Design and Print, ImageReady since 2001 and Macromedia Fireworks for Web Design and Gif Animation.
HTML/XHTML/DHTML/CSS coding using Dreamweaver.
Some experience with Notepad++, BB Edit, Homesite, Adobe Indesign and Macromedia Flash (but not advanced ActionScript).
